Day 10 18 Jul 2009
Author: Andy H.Location: Mountain Point
During this fine day at ActionQuest we woke up early and had breakfast as normal. Then when everybody was all nice and cleaned up we set out for rotation day. We did Picos, a chat, waterskiing, and then a dive. After rotations and dinner we got ready for our first night dive. During the night dive we saw lots of weird things, like blood worms, a lot more animal life, and coral polyps out. That's what happened when I was skipper.

Day 9 17 Jul 2009
Author: Justin D.Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Our third rotation day in a row consisted of man overboard under sail aboard our fifty footers, waterskiing, navigation lecture, and the Vega's third confined water dive of four, and the Carinas and Barracudas underwater naturalist specialist dive. The Carinas and Barracudas (advanced students) completed a night dive. Today's activities in more detail: today we rotated by boat (Wind Whisper, Watermelon, etc), not by group (Vega, advanced). Wind Whisper rotation one: man overboard (MOB) under sail was completely different from motor, and we also learned that this should be on the practical for our IYT cert. Wind Whisper rotation two: waterskiing, etc. The third time we went this session, nothing quite interesting to report. Wind Whisper rotation three: navigation lecture was important for any form of GPS failure. To correct a course we learned to use the chart instruments, though many of us acted like they were toys. Wind Whisper rotation four: dive: Vega: confined water dive three of four: advanced: underwater naturalist specialty dive (identify five vertebrates, four invertebrates, and two plants). Wind Whisper rotation five: dive chat/dive: Vega: dive lecture: Carina: night dive one of one: Barracuda: night dive one of three. Conclusion: although this was our third rotation day it was very different from the others. The general consensus was that it was a good day.

Our dive instructor (Kyle) took the Barracudas (Parker, Blake, Jake, and I) diving and we had a dance party underwater. After dinner we cleaned and had Lifeworks on our boat. Day 3 11 Jul 2009
Author: Erin C.Location: Savanna Bay, Virgin Gorda
Today the weather wasvery hot and the wind was very windy. Also the sea conditions were very wavy. My boat today went swimming and some went scuba diving and waterskiing. I think dinner was funny because everyone sat there telling embarrassing moments.

Day 2 10 Jul 2009
Author: Lucy B.Location: The Bight, Norman Island
Today we finally left the port and went to Norman Island. The wind was coming from it, so we sailed a lot before using the engines. In the end of the day, the funniest part was probably the cup incident. Cups were falling overboard, I tried to catch one, lost balance, and fell in the water. So today was the first sailing day. We started to learn about sailing, what a great day!
