Location: Great Harbor, Peter Island
Today we woke up in Green Cay and it was warm and sunny. After breakfast there was a skipper's meeting that took place on No Horizon to set up the sailing race to West End. Our boat, Patt J., quickly got in the lead and finished first place! It was really fun. It was also funny that our whole boat dressed up like ninjas. In West End, Tortola, we walked around port for about two and a half hours. We ate lunch, bought ice cream, tshirts, and candy. Afterwards wesailed to Peter Island and most of us took our practical sailing test. Overall it was a really fun day.

Day 12 11 Aug 2009

Author: Caroline S.
Location: Sandy Spit, Green Cay
First, we woke up and sailed back to Muskmelon Bay. Once we arrived our activities started. Our first rotation was a sailing chat. Then we went on a dive- it was really cool because the advanced divers had to navigate their own dive. Next we had a chat about futures as divers and sailors. Lastly we went wateskiing/wakeboarding. Now we have just arrived to Sandy Spit- a beautiful remote island.

We're now all expected to know how to sail our boats. At noon-ish we sailed to an amazing island with a beautiful beach and enormous waves. After lunch and an hour of swimming at the beach, we sailed here to Muskmelon Bay, where we'll spend the night. I'm really excited because I'm going on my second night dive! Yay!

Day 7 6 Aug 2009

Author: Nicolai M.
Location: Mountain Point, Virgin Gorda
Today we sailed and learned what to do if there is a man overboard, and scuba skills. Man overboards was fun because we learned what to do and how to react to a situation where someone falls overboard. Scuba skills was probably the best scuba because they were interesting and we understood them better.

Day 5 4 Aug 2009

Author: Dakota C.
Location: Vixen Point, Gorda Sound
Today it was sunny until a short 10 minute rain right before dinner time. Our boat, which arrived yesterday, remained anchored the whole day. We went windsurfing, sailing, diving, and wakeboarding in the bay our boat was docked in. The funniest part of the day was when the Pico capsized and turtled and we had to right it. All together, it was a fun, successful day and a perfect taste of the Virgin Islands.
